May be bot is adding such notifications in some situations, but not always. My requests in this conversation come after I discovered that many notifications are not appearing on user talk pages. I always check user talk pages and add missing notifications before deletions. So will be good idea to perform task yourself. It's not too hard after all. Images like File:Misti Dawn 2017.jpg or File:Kadia Saraf.jpg are not Speedydelete canditates, especially if they have a VRT ticket on file? A no-name company probably wouldn't necessarily need one. And I really hope you check online first to see who the person actually is you're suggesting to speedydelete with F10 and if they have any Wikipediaarticle. Hi, I noticed that you nominated a number of files for "CSD G10 (files and pages created as advertisements)". Actually it would be much better to nominate them for copyright violation. It is not clear if they are advertisements. There is no external link, so it depends on the notability of the subject and other factors. Evidence of copyvio

Please note that COM:CSD#F1 requires "evidence that no Commons-compatible licensing has been issued by the copyright holder", such as a link to prior publication of the image on an external website without a free license. Yes, some of your speedy deletions should have been regular deletions: We need some evidence that the image is a copyright violation (copies elsewhere, metadata, etc.). Also comparing with other images by the same uploader is useful: selfies of different people, EXIF with different names, EXIF with FBMD, EXIF with agencies (Getty, etc.), high-end professional camera vs. mobile phone, etc. Yann (talk) 12:34, 12 June 2025 (UTC)

Also, I've noticed that you are tagging images for speedy deletion just because the copyright holder in the EXIF does not appear to match the uploader's username. This is problematic because: 1) Sometimes a person might put their real name in the metadata and go by a pseudonym as their username or vice versa, or use different pseudonyms. 2) People are allowed to upload works created by others, as long as a COM:VRT permission comes in a timely manner. They are supposed to add {{subst:PP}} which indicates that the image is pending VRT and gives it a grace period of 30 days, but the instruction is not always clear, so not every uploader tags it properly. In these cases, if we believe that the uploader is not the copyright holder but do not have direct proof of copyvio, we use {{subst:npd}} which gives the uploader a grace period of 7 days. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 03:57, 12 June 2025 (UTC)

Also, please be more careful. You tagged File:ULYSSES PORTRAITS0189.jpg for F10 but it is not a personal photo; if you look more closely at the description and categories, it is part of a series of portraits taken by the uploader as part of AfroCrowd. And in these two edits (1 2), you used an edit summary of "Speedy delete request" even though your edit was very much not to tag the image for speedy deletion; while there's no direct harm from this incorrect edit summary, it suggests that you should slow down and take more care when making edits. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 04:17, 12 June 2025 (UTC)

the 2025 board election is starting soon.

The timeline for the 2025 election will be

• November 25 – December 2: Applications for the election committee
• December 2 – December 15: Vote for election committee (if necessary)
• December 16: Election committee starts work
• December 20 – January 4: Nomination phase for candidacies
• January 5 – January 11: Elections
• January 15: Results announced

In the first step we ask you to be part of the election committe. Please add your name on the Election Page.

Image Use

Hi Mr. Moore - I noticed your file being used by a real estate broker in a property brochure. While they indicated "photo by Larry D. Moore", they did not follow the directions and link to the license.

I found the image (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Mendenhall_and_waterfall.jpg) at https://issuu.com/ranchesforsale/docs/colt_island_fay_ranches?fr=sZTNhYjgzNzg5MzE - in order to view the property brochure, I registered with a temp email address. The property is listed with Fay Ranches (https://fayranches.com/property/colt-island-alaska/).

I'm not sure if you care to follow up on the matter, but I thought it might be nice to know where the image is being used.
